Answers to popular questions

We’ve compiled a list of answers to the questions we are regularly asked.

Are there any decent restaurants nearby?

Absolutely there are some great places to eat, from fantastic fresh local produce in seaside cafes to fine dining in stunning settings. Real stone baked pizza, fresh fish and seafood, locally sourced meat reared on lush welsh farmland, artisan breweries and distilleries, coffee from baristas that are passionate about the quality of their cup, award winning pubs and so much more. Please ask us, as we can direct you to a number of places to suit your tastes.

How far are the cottages from the beach?

Penmaenmawr has a stunning beach less than one mile away from Graiglwyd Springs. It’s a long, sandy beach with a promenade and cafeteria. A little further afield you may enjoy the shores at Llandudno and Conwy which offer a choice of natural beach with dunes or seaside resort near to shops and eateries.

Do we need a car at Graiglwyd Springs?

Graiglwyd Springs Holiday Cottages are nestled on a hillside above the town of Penmaenmawr and reached via a short but steep road. Although there are regular trains running along the main coastal line, we recommend having your car so that you are free to enjoy all that North Wales has to offer.

What kind of attractions are nearby?

North Wales has so much to offer that we are certain every member of your party will find an activity or attraction that excites them. Our ancient castles, standing stones and Roman ruins will satisfy the history buff while Snowdonia National Park just around the corner offers walkers, riders, photographers and cyclists a huge range of opportunities. For the thrill seekers we are near to Surf Snowdonia, Zip World and Bounce Below, plus Tree Tops high rope walk. Explore the small towns along the coast for interesting shops or get out on the sea for fishing and diving. This is just a fraction of what to see and do – we can advise you to help make the most of your visit.

Is there much noise?

No! Graiglwyd Holiday Cottages are situated within a private estate above the nearest town, surrounded by farmland and hugged by the foothills of Snowdonia. Near to the cottages is our exclusive trout fishing lake where quiet patience is the name of the game. This rural setting ensures peace and tranquility for absolute relaxation.
